An avid collector of coloured stones since childhood, it was inevitable that Sandrine Domercq should decide to study gemmology. In 2004, with a degree from London’s prestigious Gem A school and fascinated by the innumerable diversity of shapes and colours of gem stones, she set up her brand Perle de Lune. Five years later, the result of her passion and creativity was ‘Or’, her first collection working with gold. Inspired by her love of gem stones, the designer is driven by the desire to display them at their best, revealing their beauty through the simplicity of her stream-lined compositions in which colours and textures compliment each other harmoniously: shimmering gold and faceted pearls, charms and pop-coloured pastils, precious stone droplets and aerial rings, engraved and perforated medallions strung on threads of gold and diamond-cut chains... By designing collections that are both precious in character and accessible in nature Sandrine Domercq has created a new way of appreciating gold and gemstones, with each piece slipping seamlessly into the wearer’s lifeto embellish it. Her creations are feminine andeye-catching and can be layered and combined infinitely.
